Hotel Baseler Hof - Hamburg

The location is perfect for exploring the area, with parks nearby providing a great space for jogging. The room had good amenities, including a cozy desk and a nice, spacious bathroom.

Rooms can get quite warm, especially with no air conditioning during my winter stay. Opening the window next to a busy six-lane road isn't ideal. The bed could use a firmer mattress for better sleep quality, and the internet connection faltered at times, limiting heavy usage.

The Baseler Hof offers an excellent location in the city center as the Alster and shopping district. My room was spacious, with a very comfortable bed and good shower facilities. The staff were helpful. I appreciated the nice breakfast offerings and the charm of the hotel's interior.

The absence of air conditioning might be an issue during warm weather.

Service most friendly including the restaurant in the evening. For me ideal location between railroad station (Dammtor) and Old City. I found the Internet instuctions, how to get from railroad station to hotel excellent.

All staff were were friendly and approachable. The restaurant staff were smiling and efficient. The reception staff spoke good English, looking after our needs well. The lady who cleaned the room was equally pleasant and accommodating.

It suited our needs perfectly.

This place was first-rate and the staff was professional. Greatly enjoyed a storage space and tea, coffee in the room. It boasted incredible views of the Alster lake. Besides, the location was convenient for our stay, within 10 minutes' walk of a triangular urban square. The breakfast was fresh made, the check in was easy. Really free Wi-Fi worked well throughout the property.

Atmosphere, location in the city close to Dammtor railway station, the gorgeous breakfast, friendly staff, and nice rooms make this a very good hotel overall.

Part of the hotel was being refurbished. I did not encounter noise, but nevertheless one should always warn guest beforehand clearly about this,

Room was too small for the money which I paid and in it became too warm I was swetting like anything. And the whole night I was unable to sleep. in summer i wont recommend some others

Major downtown attractions are within walking distance. *a hearty buffet breakfast was included in the room price. *free 3-day pass for local public transportation (S-bahn, U-bahn, buses, ferries). Overalll, highly recommended.

Wi-fi/W-LAN is not free (costs an extra €2 /day)

I was almost convinced to give a good review, but then i noticed the flimsy walls, as i could hear my neighbors cough and sneeze. No flexible refund for my last night even tho i couldn't stay. I wasn't offered any complimentary gesture either, just rude for a four-star place like this.

The location is perfect for walking and using the subway. The staff helped with dinner suggestions that turned out to be just what we wanted. Clean airy room. the breakfast was exceptional!! service was very good. We will definitly stay there again and will highly recommend this property.
